I was poking around some of the old files from 2010 on COLLAB this morning when I stumbled across a PERL script. Having spent the good part of the last week looking at PHP scripts, tutorials and documentation, I decided to spend a little time reading up on PERL. All of a sudden, it was 4:00. The official PERL website has links to a bunch of free online books about the language, and I read through parts of Beginning PERL and Impatient PERL. Before I went on my reading spree, I continued with looking through the code in weather.php (which is what occupied a good part of Friday afternoon) to get a better sense of the functions that were being used. Hopefully, I can get my hands on the actual website source code soon so I can see how everything interacts.
